The Permanent Observatory of Design ADI, the Italian Industrial Design Association, has selected ORIGAMI, the plug&play heater designed by Alberto Meda, for the publication in the ADI Design Index 2017.

The ADI Design Index 2017 collects all preselected products for the 2018 ADI Compasso d’Oro Award, the most prestigious recognition of the project quality and the excellence of Italian design.

Annual selection is conducted by over 100 experts, according to exclusive merit criteria.
First criterion in the selection is, as always, the quality of the project; but the social responsibility of design plays an important role, too, this year.
“The know-how is not enough today, evaluating whether to do is necessary as well", the Permanent Observatory of Design ADI emphasizes.

All products selected to compete at the Compasso d'Oro will be exhibited in a exposition that starts on October the 9th at the National Museum of Science and Technology in Milan, to move to Rome on October the 26th at the Acquario Romano.

In addition, ORIGAMI has been selected by ADI in order to be exposed in Italian Pavilion of the next Hong Kong Design Week International Exhibition, which will take place from 4 to 9 December.

This selection is therefore a great chance for Origami, who has already won the Design Plus Award 2017 powered by ISH and the Red Dot Award 2017, as well as the Salone del Mobile.Milano Award and the Good Design Award in 2016.
