Nicola De Ponti
Trained as an Architect, Nicola De Ponti (born in Milan in 1971) achieved Flavio Albanese studio in Italy and Tusquets, Diaz y Asociados in Spain. Now associated with Antonia Astori (AstoriDePontiAssociati), he actually works on residential, interior, retail and exhibition projects, and dedicates itself to a succesfull activity of industrial designer which earned him several reports in ADI Design Index (2008, 2010, 2011 and 2013).
His experimental project on sutainable architecture “Green Frame House”, for Abitare il tempo 2010, after being selected by ADI Design Index 2011, has also been included in 2012 in the selection by the “Consulta Regione Lombardia” for the award “Review of Lombard architecture under 40”. He has worked and actually works among others for Driade, Tubes, OLuce, Fiam, Laminam and has implemented his activity of interior and industrial design with the art direction for some companies in the field of forniture design, such as Mussi Italy and Valsecchi 1918.
Attracted by the debate on city planning and living, he has teached in the Polytechnic University of Milan and in Domus Academy and works with Italian magazine OFARCH (Design Diffusion World) as architecture critic.
